Start up the wider crack to the right of the ledge directly below a broken face.  There is a small, sloping ledge at the top of the crack.  Move right a bit at the ledge and continue up the face on big holds to the anchor.  Well protected.

Climb the face to the left of the shelf on good holds (but with marginal protection) to a decent stance.  Continue past horizontal edges to a horn (can be slung with a long runner).  Follow a shallow crack to the steeper upper face.  Fun, but somewhat thin climbing up the face leads past a good stance to a two bolt anchor hidden in a recess just below the top.

This route starts 5-10 feet left of California Potato Chip on a triple block (shared with Triple Chin). Climb to the top of the block then up into a shallow left-facing corner. Climb the corner or the face to the right to the top. 

Start in the obvious chimney, which becomes an off width, eventually gaining some sloping horns. These lead to a hand crack to the left when the off width turns into a jungle. Climb up to the bolts for Mandril. LOOSE ROCK is the only down side, two toaster oven sized blocks are loose below the hand crack. Might be fun dry but certainly fun wet ;)

Climb the initial cracks that lead up to the V notch and step onto the small ledge at its base.  Continue straight up to the base of the right facing corner formed by the block.  Layback the corner, then traverse right to the anchors.

Another good hard face climb at echo.  This is the tempting line up the smooth face w/ two bolts, just left of Live Free Or Die part 2.   What can I say, the climb is just how it looks. 5.9ish at the start, protects with a yellow alien.  Difficult crux (.11b)on small holds for your hands, and even smaller for your feet. It may take a few tries to figure out(a hard onsight).  Much more moderate climbing (5.8)to the top and a tree with rap rings.

Jam a short (15') finger crack to the right of Cooler Sacrifice. Mantle into the Cooler Sacrifice alcove, but continue climbing up the right side onto a featured face past some horizontals and a pin.

Climb the crack that leads between the two trees.  It starts out as a hand crack at the bottom and gets steadily wider near the top (up to a #3.5 or #4 Camalot).  Continue up a second, smaller crack just left of the first tree (the crux is avoiding the tree).  Climb through a small overhang right of the second tree, and follow a third crack (hands) to the anchors.  Fun climbing, great protection.

This route is a bit of a squeeze. Climb past decomposing flakes to the right of Mack Jam. Climb a shallow groove (crux) past a bulge. Step right to a shallow finger crack and finish up a short right facing corner. 

Up the corner and over the bulge, then up a crack to the anchor.

Hard but brief, and somewhat heady, face climbing just to the right of Skeletal Ribs.  One tricky move off the ground leads to good gear at a horizontal and a very blank face with a bolt.  A surprisingly wandering sequence for the length gets you through the 20ft crux.  Get some gear in the horizontals above (beware of crumbly rock!) and finish up on easier ground (5.8).  Anchors can be found at the top of Skeletal ribs.

About 8 feet to the right of Fast Snatch' is a jug  in an overhanging corner. Work around this corner type feature with a bouldery crimp move to a big flat edge. Mantle onto the flat edge and place your first piece. then head up on easier ground into the cool finger crack above. Fun climbing, but the crux is unprotected.

Another route that's not climbed often. In its current state, a few small spruce bushes obstruct the upper crack, but with a bit of cleaning it could be a fun way to beat the crowds or set a TR on Cinch Sack or Live Free or Die Part 2. Climb the right facing corner to the right of Cinch Sack. Continue up to a rounded, vertical crack and follow this to the top.

Following the trend of face climbs between crack climbs, we have Queen Weetamoo. Pete named the route after his cat. The crux comes right off the ground with some thin moves on the face to the right of VH-1. After the horizontal crack, follow a finger crack to an alcove on the left. Climb a fist crack to a 2 bolt anchor, shared with VH-1. 

Start on the thin crack with a high finger lock, make some fun moves up to horizontal break, place gear sling tree, and continue up moderate ground that is uneventful to the anchor.

Climb up the faces of three large stacked blocks, making one committing move on the third face.  Finish up Skeletal Ribs to the right, or go left to the other double-bolt anchors. 

Wrecked Him starts at the obvious right-facing corner just right of Gary's. Follow the corner to a roof about 20 feet up then move right around the roof to the top. Like all of the routes to the left of California Potato Chip, there are no fixed anchors for this route at this time (Summer 2020). For this reason, these climbs don't see much traffic.

Start on a small, wedged block just to the right of California Potato Chip and climb up to a small ledge. Find some gear and then continue straight up the steep wall using the horizontals as jugs.

Start at yellow birch tree, make some easy moves up to a ledge, make more fun moves up to the anchor.   This is a great route for the trad leader who is just learning.

Start just right of Ether Madness. Climb a groove which merges with the shallow finger crack above to the 2 bolt anchor shared with Horn Of Plenty. 

A popular route for good reason.  Climb the two finger cracks (crux) to a large ledge that slopes up.  Above the ledge and to the right of a large roof is a trapezoid shaped block with incredible holds up the left side.  Place a good piece of pro at the base of the block, reach up to the holds along the left side, and pull up and over onto the flake.  Continue up the flake to anchors on the wall behind the tree.

Face climb straight up past the first bolt on thin feet and thinner hands...clip the second bolt, pull the balancey roof move, awkwardly, and finish straight up more easily to the anchors for Beeline.

Climb past the block to a stance on a "diving board" type feature.  Up and right across horizontals to the base of a finger crack.  Up the crack past ledges to the top.

This is the first climb on the left of Square Inch Wall. It climbs a short gray face with lots of good horizontal edges. 

This route starts a few feet right of the right-facing corner of Wrecked Him, below a squarish protruding block 10-15 feet up. Climb past the block to cracks above. Top out is a bit dirty. 

If the guidebook is telling you it's safer to top rope, you know it's real. This route would make a bold, but doable lead, however with ledge fall potential it is much more popular as a top rope variation. Climb a bouldery seam to the left of cooler sacrifice. Gain the ledge, then fish in some gear below the roof in a small flake. Bust out the horizontal roof at 5.10d, the ledge lurks below so don't blow it here. Climb the smooth face above. The guidebook says to go all the way to the top of the cliff, but most people will break to the 2 bolt anchor on Cooler Sacrifice. 

VH-1 is one of the best routes on Square Inch Wall, if not at the entire crag.  Climb the beautiful hand crack to a ledge at a horizontal break (crux).  Look for some good stopper placements along the way.  At the break, step two feet to the right and continue up a second crack.  Follow cracks left of the prominent roof to the top.  Once above the level of the roof the climbing eases significantly.

Climb up to a stance on top of the triple block next to California Potato Chip, then up through the three small roofs then up the face to the top.

A fitting name given some of the other face climbing lines in the area. Between Beeline and VH-1, climb past a horizontal and Thin Flakes a ledge. Continue to the back of an alcove, climb up and move right. Climb straight up to the top. You can lower from bolts on either side. 

A route that's not often done and a little hidden in plain sight. Start just left of a white ledge, Layback thin flakes over the first bulge, then climb up to a ledge. From the ledge, continue up a finger crack. This looks far harder than 5.8 from below but has a few less than obvious holds to get through it. Hit a huge bucked jug and top out. 

Climb either of the two parallel cracks to a small stance (crux).  Directly above is the finish to Rocket.  Step right and continue up the left side of the block that forms the right facing corner on Maiming of the Shrew.  Small holds with plenty of short cracks for good gear placements.

On the left side of the square inch wall locate an overhanging bulge with a single sinker hand jam above it. Do a boulder problem up to the Jam and get your first piece, then continue up easier terrain trending right towards the arete feature above. The 9+ is the unprotected start. 

  "The Notches" describes this as a hand crack, I'd say its more of a pod for a hand jam and a placement.

Climb the twin cracks of Cooler Sacrifice 5.7 up to the ledge and into the alcove. Where Cooler Sacrifice goes left to the juggy flake this route stays true to the center of the alcove/dihedral making a bouldery move up the corner. And finishes back left at the shared bolted anchor of Cooler Sacrifice.

Square Inch Wall is the first real climbing wall at Echo, so named because just about every square inch of the wall is climbable.  The majority of the moderate climbs are located here  many quite good.  Like the rest of Echo, Square Inch wall is often wet late into the spring, and after a good rain.  The routes are all 50 to 60 feet in length.  As of the summer of 2006, a large tree at the top of the wall with slings around the base fell over and is perched precariously above a number of the routes to the left of the first wooden ladder.
