The shortest and "worst" route on the wall, but still pretty good. Thin crux to start leads to postive holds. Okay warm up. Short.

This is a nice warm up for the other climbs here.   The crux comes early between the 2nd and 3rd bolt.   Follow the line of bolts to the top.

This climb is mostly a jug haul with a crux of completely opposite character.  A few of the jugs are greasy, but it does not affect the nature of the climb.  Climb up lower angle terrain to a small bulge.  Getting on top of this is the technical (and mental) crux.  Its a very fun and cool move/position and definitely the highlight.  The falls are very safe, but you'll see.  After this, finish on juggish holds to the anchors.  Very good warmup climb for the area.

This is a new link-up bolted in 2012, which starts on Vice grip. Climb the corner/dihedral system of VG to the resting stance on the blocks. Head left on smaller crimps to clip 2 bolts and then join Soul Crusher above its crux.  An easy section of climbing takes you to the bottom of the steep headwall where the crux is. Long, pumpy  pulls through the headwall

This route finishes at 2nd set of anchors.

Optional - finish on the lower Soul Crusher anchors (12b/c)

For some, this is a warm-up route for the rest of the hard routes. Look for the first route to the left of the wide crack with a giant rat nest inside.

This route increases in difficulty the higher you go.   Climb up passing two small overhangs.  At the 5th bolt, at the base of a short overhanging prow, the crux begins.   Pull over the bulge and make some thin moves to a good shake.   A few jugs to the finish.   The 6th bolt can be clipped with a long draw(pre-placed) in the middle of the crux, or just clip the draw once you gain a stance above the bulge with the bolt at your waist.

This is a very sustained route.   Climb up passing a few bolts to get a good shake to the left of the ledge on Rain Dance.    From here, make a few moves to clip the next bolt and then it's very thin climbing all the way to the end.   Although this route appears to be more featured that Gray Matter, the holds are quite thin and are often not what you're hoping for.

The crux come fairly early on this one.   Climb up to gain the 2nd bolt.  From here, work your way to a jug above the left hand feature and clip.   Traverse a bit right and up to gain the 4th bolt (crux).   From here, it's mostly jugs to the top.

This route is called "Sandwich" because it's sandwiched in between a couple of other routes on the Hardware Wall. If you're doing this route, there's a good chance you've done everything else on Hardware Wall and you might not mind the slightly contrived nature of this line. Contrived, because the route could be made easier by using holds and rests on adjacent climbs. This was avoided on the FA. Feel free to take advantage of all of these easier variations, just know that the FA didn't use them.

Start to the left of Power of Silence, staying left of the easier climbing on that line. Rest up on good holds down and left of the first PoS pod before launching into the blocky roof that comprises the first crux. The pod rests on PoS weren't used during the FA.

After this first crux, you will cross through Vice Grip. There's a good, unavoidable rest on Vice Grip jugs. The second crux starts at the bolt above this rest. You could avoid the second crux by traversing left low on Bath Salt Laker holds. The FA avoided this easier variation and traversed left high, with the bolt after the rest below waist level. The traverse deposits you into a shallow dihedral. Climb from there up, past the first set of anchors through the steep, demanding headwall.

Half Sandwich, 13c. Start to first set of anchors

Soup (aka, Vicewich), 13b. Vice Grip start to Sandwich second anchor

12b/c: Vice Grip start to Sandwich first anchor. Actually a much cleaner line than the original Vice Grip.

Other options: Sandwich start to Vice Grip or Voyager One anchors, Soul Crusher start to Sandwich second anchor, Sandwich start to PoS, etc.

The crux comes high on this route.  This one is for sure a softer 12b with mostly .10 climbing.  It might be the 'easiest' 12 on the wall.  There's a few sporty moves here and there, and the crux is very entertaining, most of the route is not very memorable.  Still worthwhile.

Surprisingly, this route makes a decent warmup given all the jugs through the start.

This climb starts on a face and climbs 4 or 5 bolts into an obvious dihedral.  Move left for one bolt to a shake out on a set of large blocky edges. Start crux sequence on crimps and small pockets and take the right line of bolts. After the crux there is a rest. Pull a bulge at top and finish by clipping very long chains at the anchor.

This starts on the face to the right of Patsy. Climb through a small roof and blocky holds to a good shake. Traverse slightly left to hard-to-hold pinches, bad feet and long moves (crux). Cruise an easier section to the first set of anchors (13a) or continue climbing the steep headwall. This is amazing climbing. Clipping the 2nd set of anchors comes in at 13b.

Super fun tech fest on great rock. Crimps and sidepulling lead to a thin crux up high.

The longest pitch on the wall.  Climb Power of Silence until the second resting pod and then trend slightly left to the anchors of Vice Grip.  There is a new bolt up and left from the pod that eliminates the need for long slings and minimizes rope drag.  Stopping at the first anchors is about mid 5.12 (Power of Vice), and is not nearly as enjoyable as doing the full Power of Silence.

From the anchors of Vice Grip the best part of the pitch starts.  Continuous bouldering for three bolts lands you at an okay stance to regroup before embarking into the final section of thin face climbing.  Cool holds, memorable movement, a little spice and even a finishing mantle round off this expedition.

Climb up to the overhang with the some good rests just below it and to the left.   Traverse a bit right to the overhang, score a kneebar and then continue straight up.   After clipping the next bolt at a good shake, head up and right and make a difficult clip  (crux).   Continue up to a dihedral with some easier climbing to the last bolt.   From here, it's fairly easy moves to the anchors.   Clipping the anchors, the last bolt is a few feet below you.

A perma-draw makes a reachy clip safer. Climb through crimps and sidepulls to a small roof.  A couple of long pulls to pull over roof to a small crack. Movce left and pull another small roof and climb another 10 feet to clip anchors.

This route is located left of Greyhound.

This route has some very thin sections separated by good rests.   Start by climbing up using a few vertical slots and head right.  Gain a stance and head back left toward the bolt line.   From here, continue straight passing a few breaks from which to rest at.

If someone has named this already, let me know... I just went with the obvious.

Start on Soul Crusher.  After 3 bolts follow the Juggy blocks to where the traverse begins for Vice Grips.  Finish on Vice Grips. The fall may not be very fun if you fell traversing to Vice.

I find the Soul start a little more fun and natural than the Vice start.

One of the longer(est?) routes of the crag.  Overhanging for a long while and then tops out on not as easy as desired slab.  Crux may be pulling onto the less than vertical section, though not one move in particular felt like a hard 12.

Number 1 reason to do this route:  There's a cave about 2/3 up the route.  Hang out there for as long as you can before your belayer rips you out of it.

The rock up high is phenomenal!

Fun and positive crimping to a high crux. Cool no hands stem rest around bolt three or four.

This climb is quite good, some say its one of the best at the crag.  Climb up through several sustained sections.   The crux involves pinching a protruding block and hitting a nice hidden hole up and left.   It's not over after the crux.   Worth doing!

Often dirty in the spring until it gets some traffic.

Good enough climb- glue will hopefully keep the key holds from breaking.

Bouldery crux at bolt 3 requiring pinch strength and core tension. Good shake and rest about 1/2 up. Another crux awaits pulling upper bulge. Traverse left to finish on the Old P. anchors. With the exception of the traverse finish this is a worthy route.

A somewhat consistent route with crimps, sidepulls, and a large lieback feature (.11 climbing).  The crux comes right above the large flake feature. Overall, I feel it is easier than Comanche, but the crux is harder than any one move on Comanche.
