Gneiss Bulge is a well-protected slab/face climb that is pretty on you right off the ground. Work up on crimps through a delicate roof with a cool sidepull hole; shake here, and work through some more crimps and smears for a good, flat, little ledge. Wrestle your way up the gneiss bulge, and mantel on top of it; a good rest here lets you ponder the finish sequence through more crimpers 'n' smears. The climb gets some decent morning to late afternoon sun.The anchors were originally for the 5.8 on the left, and this route seemed pretty decent after a clean and some topropes, so I figured it was worth the hardware even though the route spacing is a bit close.I named the route for the obvious bulge 2/3 the way up before knowing the name of the wall or any of the route names on the wall... so even though it's not the most progressive, I hope you have a giggle and enjoy the climb!

Stem between a flake feature and the wall proper, and after the first bolt, move up a bit higher, then move right onto the face. This is more sustained than its neighboring 5.8s. Generally positive holds lead to a crux near the top.

Move up the chimney feature past two bolts onto the slab, over a bulge (crux?), and past a giant undercling onto the steeper, crimpy headwall to the anchors.

This is very good and easy sport climb. Start up the ramp on the far left of the wall. After a bolt, continue up and right up steeper terrain onto the sloping ledge. From there, continue up through a steeper headwall on incredible holds passing more bolts and jugs to the chains!

Follow the low angle ramp at the far left end of Progressive Wall up and left to a steep, juggy headwall. Continue up, up, up to the anchors!

Start up stemming between the flake and wall proper, and then pull up through a little flakey layback section. The crux is mid-route and requires a long reach over a blank section to a good hold. Cruise to the top.

A great cliff to warm up on, Progressive has a few fun moderates on interesting stone with cool holds. Please do not top out this cliff because the area above is closed due to loose rock.
