When she opens up take a full breath (your first in 20 or so feet) then 3rd class your way to your reward - the delightful apex of the aptly named Temple.If you took a box of Cornflakes™, mixed it with a box of Rice Krispies™, crumbled up a few packages of Twix™, put them in a large bowl and poured Elmer's™ glue over them and stirred it all up, then glued them together to create a chimbley-like affair and let it harden for a few seconds, then you'd have an exponentially better quality of rock to climb on than you will find in The SE Chimbley. I may be mistaken, but I don't believe I've ever given a bomb to a route here before, but this one rates.But, please, don't let me dissuade you. Everyone (not just climbers, either) should have a similar experience at least once in their life.

The rock quality ain't great, but it's markedly better than its sister a few feet to the L ("The SE Chimbley"). I can't think of a better descriptor, so I will plagiarize K Keith's description of this as a "jumble of wide cracks". Chimney through those until they end, then 3rd class to the top. The summit is absolutely delightful. Bring a book and hang out and watch the swallows flit about. A great way to end the day.Descending by walking off back toward the approach. You can return to the start by arcing back to skier's L along a loose narrow, but reasonably sane, trail.

This is a wild route. Start in the steep crack layback and jam your way to a wicked mantel. clip a bolt and move left and up to thin flakes. Continue up past another bolt and move right up the center of the wall on steep terrain eventually gaining a sharp hand crack. There is a bolted anchor at the top.

This is the highest formation in the Oasis. The majority of the best routes are on the north/northeast side. These routes are generally pretty tough and quite serious to lead.
