Gator Pond starts with some stout slab climbing and then goes up steep jugs, slopers, pockets, and crimps ending fighting over a bulge to the anchors of

It's a little bit of a squeeze job, but I really enjoy the climbing on this route.

Poop notes: after the 2nd bolt there is a poop den. I cleaned a lot off; however, it can be totally avoided with choosing holds correctly.

This route pulls three roofs; the second roof is the crux.

Start on Runout 11, and end on

Get Off the Cart (and Climb)

. Use holds in between, and don't sniff the poo for too long at the rest. Actually this has a crux in the middle. It is worthy and long (for the Golf Wall).

This route has holds that are fun to go in between with specific body movements and stuff.  This free-form rock climb will make your gripping extremities tired, unless you are immune to tiredness... in which case it won't.

This has a highball first bolt. The crux moves are near top reaching bear ear & reaching out.

This has a good rest in the pod on the route, and the crux is a big throw to a jug above.

, grow some nutz, and bust up and left! Super high feet and some big moves take you to the

Greenskeeper's

anchor, but rest assured, you did it the manly way! You might log some airtime per the tricky clip.

The crux is above the roof a few moves. It is doable onsight; hang in there!

The crux is reaching out of the mail slit.

Vertical climbing leads to a good rest in a cave, then pull the bulge and finish up with less steep moves.

The Open is a Grade 3 in Durango! "The Open" is nothing new, just a challenge for those bored with our lovely outdoor gym. Enjoy 18 holes (pitches) during a beautiful day out of golf (climbing). There are 38 pitches listed on here to choose from, choose wisely.

Rules:

1. Lead 18 pitches clean.

2. The ratings do not matter, but you won't get it done without climbing at least a couple .12s.

3. You gotta redpoint the pitch before moving on to the next pitch.

There are two options to start:

Top Flight start:

" and Top Flight used to get past the nearly blank start. The ladder is now gone, but you can climb from the ground if you do a powerful little boulder problem (easier if you are tall) into the hole on "

" and then climb slightly right.

Black Nasty start:

this is the "direct" line on Top Flight. Stickclip the black hanger to the right, boink up to where the holds start, and climb straight up. Traditionally you only boink until your right hand is in a bad diagonal pocket and do a hard move to good holds to start. There was once a stool to access the start holds, but it has unfortunately been destroyed.

After the starting shenanigans, climb up fun 5.11, past a little runout to the roof. Just under the roof,  you'll find a good kneebar rest. A crux getting over the roof puts you on big holds to the anchors.

This has a surprisingly difficult crux for 11a. You can get a good rest in the hole; however, the last moves out are not too difficult.

This is one of the easier climbs at the Golf Wall. It is a good, pumpy warmup for the other steep routes.

Start on the right side of a bulge at a tall, old tree leaning out from the base of the cliff. Climb past one bolt to a ledge fifteen feet off the ground. Continue up to underneath the roof, and traverse right less than ten feet. Reach for the jug over the roof, and pull up over (crux). Continue up and left to the two bolt carabiner anchor.

Do some easy climbing up a block to the first bolt, then traverse right with juggy hands, move up through an overhang, and finish with some less steep face climbing to the anchor.

This is an often neglected 11 past

This is a new 5.10 for the Golf Wall. It is a pretty cool line, and it should get better once it cleans up some more. There is a pretty distinct, undercling crux around the third bolt.

Climb the first 5 bolts of

Tee Off On This!

, then break left under the roof. Clip the high bolt, and pull some cool, bouldery moves to clip the new anchor. This fun, burly finish hearkens the spirit of the late local crusher, Bert Perry.

Do the direct start for

Par Six

, and then at the big roof instead of traversing right as

Par Six

does, head straight up. The top used to be runout and link into Greenskeeper on some loose rock. However, I added a bolt up and right so it now links into the

Par Six

anchor on good rock.

Move right at the ear instead of bumping out left to the traditional finish. This has a fun, punchy move or two.

This is a little loose down low but better the higher you go - hey, that rhymed!  Head towards a roof pulling one crux only to have another crux pulling the far left lip of said roof.

This uses the same start as for

Teed Off

.  After clipping the first bolt, move out left and up the steep face to a two bolt anchor.
