Great route on good rock. Clip a bolt then pull up into a stellar finger crack. Finish on edges with some arete-slapping action. Well protected, but you'll understand the name once you're at the base...

The crack starts in a right facing dihedral that gives many edges and leads to a shelf half way through the route.  Then you switch to a left facing dihedral that takes you past an Xed block that needs a big crowbar...coming soon.

This ever steepening line is on deceptively good rock.  The deep and numerous pockets create a jug fest that is appreciated at the well overhung last bolt and crux.  Really fun climbing!

Moving over the head wall is the crux.  Keep in mind the blocks at the base of this head wall look dubious though they could not be moved.

The crux is, as usual, at the top or perhaps just getting use to the strange and unique rock of this line.  What looks like suspect rock will surprise you as stellar and very climbable.  You could link this line with "Monkey Shoulder" just left of the shoulder thus skipping the chimney (which is fun).

offers a number of great moves over quality rock. A route to remember.

Follow bolts up a steep face to a short hand crack. Break left to a small ledge and fire an intimidating roof. Finish on a ledge at a two bolt anchor.  A classic line with classic movement.

This fun arete starts in a crack prior to reaching the arete.  The crux is between the second and third bolts that has you barn-dooring right on to the face.  Big holds and good feet get you through with a smile.

This route takes pro well and is very straight forward.

. Begin in a right sweeping crack and follow this onto a steep face. When the final crack ends, traverse right onto the ledge and shared anchor of

. Killer moves up a varied break, end the climb at a shared two bolt anchor. Good, intense climbing with solid protection.

This somewhat short finger crack is a bit spicy for the shorter climber who cannot reach the the wider hand jams for a rest.  It takes gear well and has some fun moves!

Crux is mantling the shelf and clipping the fourth bolt!

An easy enough looking .10a (bull) that will school you on judging a book by its cover!  Jams are varied and difficult on this pumpy, sustained, frustrating, and exhilarating .11a route!

Start to the left of a brushy low angle corner below a smooth sheet of crimson patina. A few long moves to positive edges and a touchy mantle lead to the third bolt and the first crux, a delicate rightward traverse. Don't peel off these awkward moves and you'll be rewarded with a rest below a small broken roof.

Tackle said roof and establish on the face above, following an offset seam with the occasional edge or crack feature and fighting the growing pump by milking unobvious rests. The climbing gets steeper, thinner and more technical, eventually leading into an intimidating blocky area. The route takes the path of least resistance through this, heading left to an obvious stance where a large cube used to reside. Things may appear a bit hollow in the area but we were ruthless with the cleaning and what's left is not going anywhere.

Take note of the 9th bolt a ways out right and don't get greedy with an early clip: it's easily reachable from the stance, not so much from below while pumped.

Gingerly surmount the last of the blocks and veer right, aiming for the faint dihedral which forms the upper headwall. Take a deep breath and fire the last 30' of slightly overhanging rock, pulling long technical moves on small but positive edges. If the pump catches up with you before you clip the chains expect a long clean ride!

The route got its name from the numerous trips we had to take up and down the poop chute and the massive amounts of choss we tossed off the top before we could even start cleaning the face. As usual in the Jungle, the recipe for a rad new line is a (dumb) vision, lots of sweat and time with the trusty hammer/crowbar/steel brush combo!

A mixed route and one of the longest routes in The Jungle.  If the leader cleans the route, a 60 meter rope will just barely work; 70 meter rope is recommended.  The crux is near the top of this fun forearm festival.

Start on the south side of the "monkey's shoulder" (face moves) then move through an easy chimney to a discontinuous crack that leads to a large block.  Here is the first bolt prior to heading left back into the crack.  This first clip is also the two bolt anchor for other climbs on the north side of the shoulder. After working your way through a loose crack and another bolt head up to a large bush where you then traverse left onto the glorious face and through 7 more bolts on ever-steepening, good rock.

You could also use the anchor on the block as the anchor for the first pitch, thus making this a two pitch route and eliminating the possible need for a longer rope.

This route starts on flaky rock albeit well bolted.  A little bit of delicate, four-point movement quickly gets you onto stellar rock.  From here, the climbing is exceptional and on edgy, big moves that lead you to the left of the face.  Third bolt from the top and the last bolt are the crux.  Wild, fun, and zesty!  If it weren't for the few moves on poor rock at the bottom, this would be 4 stars for sure!

This is a well-bolted entry-level sport route.  The crux is high up just below the ledge.

This fun route starts with some great moves that lead on to a blunt arete and some less than stellar rock.  Do not despair, the rest of the 75 feet of climbing IS on stellar rock and finishes with the crux. There are two back and forths on the arete but you end up in the middle of the face pulling the 11a move to the anchor.  Lots of fun! The second time you are on the right of the arete there is a bit of a reach move for shorter climbers.  A left hand NOT obvious side pull can make the difference.

This route has a good deal of varied climbing: crack, a traverse, an arete, some face and is the only route in the Jungle where you can easily top out on good rock to enjoy the view! A good warm up line that starts 5.6, then a 5.7 traverse leads to a 5.8 arete that finishes on a 5.9 face.

This fun sport line, named after the Disney song from the Jungle Book, is located at the very end of the Commuter Wall and as of 06/11/12 is the furthest route from the parking lot.

Fun crimpy moves lead to a 5.10 crux and a headwall where toe/heel hooks can be usefull. Six bolts with chain anchors.
